An arithmetical operation in the current program <runtime parameter> tried to process a field of type P that does not contain a valid BCD format.

Possible causes:

1. If the field is part of a field string, and its current content is hex 20, the field list was deleted with MOVE SPACE ... instead of CLEAR.
2. The VARYING parameter was incorrectly positioned in a DO loop, because the TIMES parameter was too large for example. The same as for WHILE ... VARY.
3. A FIELD-SYMBOL was incorrectly assigned. Please see abap error for more details about the possible cause of this runtime error and how it could be avoided.
