SAP Help SAP not authorized find add user role via t codes SU53, SUIM and SU01
When not authorized use SU53, SUIM and SU01 to add role to user
Step 1 - What to do when you receive message you are not authorized to use transaction
If you receive the "You are not authorized to use transaction ????"
Step 2 - Get details of the failed authorization check using SU53
First thing to do is execute transaction SU53, i always use the /N or /O additions so it creates a new session i.e. /NSU53.
This will show you all the details about the authorization check that just failed.
Step 3 - Search existing roles via SUIM
the next thing you need to do is check which roles existing that will provide the required authorization. To do this execute transaction code(t code) SUIM, and select roles by complex selection criteria
Within the authorization object enter the value you found via SU53, in my case S_TCODE and press enter
Some new fields should appear for you to enter the actual tcode value. Do this and press execute
You should then be presented with a list of appropriate roles that you can add to your user profile
Step 4 - Add role to user profile within SU01
Once you have decided which one to use simply use tcode SU01 to add the role to you user profile.
