Message number 173 of class M5 is used to display message "Dynamic calculation of the period to analyze is not activated" and can be triggered using the following ABAP code:

What causes this issue

You have not activated the checkbox for dynamic calculation of the
analysis period. Any period values you may have entered will thereforenot be taken into account when the system determines the selectionperiod for the analysis using this selection version.
