Message number 580 of class IW is used to display message "Number overflow: Renumbering not possible" and can be triggered using the following ABAP code:

    MESSAGE W580(IW). "Warning message example

What causes this issue

The function Renumbering is activated in your system
for the transfer function formaintenance task lists inmaintenance orders orservice orders.

System Response

The system had to cancel remumbering of the order operations because of
a number overflow. The system established that the highest possibleoperation number was exceeded during renumbering.

How to fix

Decrease the interval between the individual operation numbers. To do
this, enter a smaller increment in the Transfer Functions screen.
