Message number 003 of class B1 is used to display message "Could not determine recipients for message type &" and can be triggered using the following ABAP code:

DATA: lv_val1(100) TYPE C.
lv_val1 = '123'.

    MESSAGE E003(B1) WITH lv_val1. "Error message example

    MESSAGE W003(B1) WITH lv_val1. "Warning message example

    MESSAGE I003(B1) WITH lv_val1. "Information message example

What causes this issue

An IDoc of message type &v1& was passed to the ALE layer, but the three
receiver fields in the header record were not filled. In this case theALE layer tries to determine the receivers from the entries in thedistribution model. There are no entries available in the distributionmodel for the above message type.

How to fix

Define the receivers in your distribution model for this message type
or deactivate distribution for these message types.
