SEARCH_TYPE is a standard field within SAP Table sic_src_strategy that stores Search Type information. You can trigger different types of searches, depending on your needs and on the capabilities of the search engine. The possible values are:

  • Exact Search if you want a narrow search

  • Fuzzy Search if you want an error-tolerant search for strings beginning with the same letter as the searched string. The tolerance degree is defined as a percentage in field SRC_TYPE_PARAM.

  • Extended Fuzzy Search is similar to the Fuzzy Search, but does not take the first letter into consideration.
