SAP UPC_YS_STEP_USAGE Notes on Using Characteristic Relationship Table data and field list

How do I retrieve data from SAP structure UPC_YS_STEP_USAGE using ABAP code?

As UPC_YS_STEP_USAGE is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on UPC_YS_STEP_USAGE as there is no data to select.
