SAP EXPD_SUBOBJ_FIELDS Progress Tracking Subitem Data Table data and field list

How do I retrieve data from SAP structure EXPD_SUBOBJ_FIELDS using ABAP code?

As EXPD_SUBOBJ_FIELDS is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on EXPD_SUBOBJ_FIELDS as there is no data to select.
