SAP EXPD_EVENT_LINE Structure of an Event Line in Expediting Table data and field list

How do I retrieve data from SAP structure EXPD_EVENT_LINE using ABAP code?

As EXPD_EVENT_LINE is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on EXPD_EVENT_LINE as there is no data to select.
