SPEC_REC is a standard SAP Structure so does not store data like a database table does. It can be used to define the fields of other actual tables or to process "Special record" Information within sap ABAP programs.

This is done by declaring abap internal tables, work areas or database tables based on this Structure. These can then be used to store and process the required data appropriately.

i.e. DATA: wa_SPEC_REC TYPE SPEC_REC.

The SPEC_REC table consists of various fields, each holding specific information or linking keys about Special record data available in SAP. These include RECCODE (Record description), RECLEN (Record length, TITO format), BANK_GROUP (Bank group (TITO)), DATA (Data).. How do I retrieve data from SAP structure SPEC_REC using ABAP code?

As SPEC_REC is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on SPEC_REC as there is no data to select.
