RBD_ALV is a standard SAP Structure so does not store data like a database table does. It can be used to define the fields of other actual tables or to process "Help Structure as Basis for Field Catalog" Information within sap ABAP programs.
This is done by declaring abap internal tables, work areas or database tables based on this Structure. These can then be used to store and process the required data appropriately.
i.e. DATA: wa_RBD_ALV TYPE RBD_ALV.
The RBD_ALV table consists of various fields, each holding specific information or linking keys about Help Structure as Basis for Field Catalog data available in SAP. How do I retrieve data from SAP structure RBD_ALV using ABAP code?
As RBD_ALV is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on RBD_ALV as there is no data to select.How to access SAP table RBD_ALV
