ESS_MISC is a standard SAP Structure so does not store data like a database table does. It can be used to define the fields of other actual tables or to process "General Fields for ESS" Information within sap ABAP programs.
This is done by declaring abap internal tables, work areas or database tables based on this Structure. These can then be used to store and process the required data appropriately.
i.e. DATA: wa_ESS_MISC TYPE ESS_MISC.
The ESS_MISC table consists of various fields, each holding specific information or linking keys about General Fields for ESS data available in SAP. These include TYPE (Type of task), YEAR (Year for which levy is to be carried out).. How do I retrieve data from SAP structure ESS_MISC using ABAP code?
As ESS_MISC is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on ESS_MISC as there is no data to select.How to access SAP table ESS_MISC
