BANKCHAIN is a standard SAP Structure so does not store data like a database table does. It can be used to define the fields of other actual tables or to process "Bank chain" Information within sap ABAP programs.
This is done by declaring abap internal tables, work areas or database tables based on this Structure. These can then be used to store and process the required data appropriately.
i.e. DATA: wa_BANKCHAIN TYPE BANKCHAIN.
The BANKCHAIN table consists of various fields, each holding specific information or linking keys about Bank chain data available in SAP. These include BNKS1 (Bank country key), BNKL1 (Bank Keys), BNKN1 (Account number at correspondent bank), BKON1 (Bank Control Key).. How do I retrieve data from SAP structure BANKCHAIN using ABAP code?
As BANKCHAIN is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on BANKCHAIN as there is no data to select.How to access SAP table BANKCHAIN
