APPLICANT is a standard SAP Structure so does not store data like a database table does. It can be used to define the fields of other actual tables or to process "Applicant Master Data" Information within sap ABAP programs.
This is done by declaring abap internal tables, work areas or database tables based on this Structure. These can then be used to store and process the required data appropriately.
i.e. DATA: wa_APPLICANT TYPE APPLICANT.
The APPLICANT table consists of various fields, each holding specific information or linking keys about Applicant Master Data data available in SAP. These include ENAME (Formatted Name of Employee or Applicant), SNAME (Employee's Name (Sortable by LAST NAME FIRST NAME)), BUKRS (Company Code), WERKS (Personnel Area).. How do I retrieve data from SAP structure APPLICANT using ABAP code?
As APPLICANT is a database structure and not a table it does not store any data in the SAP data dictionary. The ABAP SELECT statement is therefore not appropriate and can not be performed on APPLICANT as there is no data to select.How to access SAP table APPLICANT
