Parameter documentation
If more than one Oracle databse instance was installed (Oracle Parallel
Server Option), then you can use the parameter above in the profile of
each application server to define a standby database instance for the
current application server. If the priofile parameter
rsdb/reco_trials> is set for the database
reconnect without restarting the work process then the DB reconnect
automatically takes place on the defined standby database instance if
the original database instance of the application server can no longer
be reached. The prerequisite for this is that the profile parameter
rsdb/oracle_host_standby> is also
defined.
See SAP Parameter Documentation for full SAP documentation for this profile parameter.
