You can use this parameter to specify the number of enqueue work
processes on the instance.
Ensure that you only set a value > 0 on the central instance, which
provides the enqueue service (instance
rdisp/enqname> ). Normally, one enqueue work process on the central
instance is sufficient (rdisp/wp_no_enq = 1). Only in very large systems
is a higher value sometimes useful.
Caution
We now recommend the use of a standalone enqueue server (see parameter
enque/process_location> ). In this case,
set the parameter to 0 for all servers.
