One of four parameters (see also
cpuid/trunc_size>, cpuid/behind_last>, and
cpuid/before_first>), which are used to
control how long external host names are converted to short internal R/3
host names.
The part that precedes the first occurrence of this character is the
only part used. The default value is '.' and can be used with most
domain name servers. Example:
External name
hs0011.wdf.sap-ag.de
Internal name
hs0011
If the value is empty, this function is deactivated.
