Note 2079035 Details:

When does this problem occur

The payroll function GPENS was recently re-worked to cater for arrears

payrolls where employees are either auto-enrolled or contractua

lly enrolled.

2015910 PY-GB: PAE: Arrears Payroll: Pension Scheme Membership handled
incorrectly

The note allowed customers to use IT0071 as it was originally intended

(i.e. have the validity period of the infotype control when ded

uctions are made) rather than force customers to work out what the rules

were for their arrears payrolls and adapt those rules to the

validity of the payroll when it was paid in arrears.

Payroll Function GBLGP did not have the same enhancement applied. The
outcome is that employees that are weekly paid and paid two (or

more) weeks in arrears and are auto-enrolled into a pension scheme that

has its pension rate band controlled by GBLGP are handled inco

rrectly in the week (or weeks) after the period where they are

auto-enrolled, but before the IT0071 validity starts.

Version History
Version 1: Original release
Version 2: There was a typo. Wrong note number (2042511) was mentioned
in the note. The right one is 2015910.

Version 3: Solution modified to set Arrears Processing switch during

GBLGP processing. (Usually, this would necessitate a new version

of this note, but it currently thought that only one customer has this

issue and they are the only ones testing this note.) The origin

al correction instructions have been deleted and replaced with the

latest version which includes all changes.
